Andrea Libutti, MD
Dr. Libutti is a certified Defeat Autism Now! physician with extensive
training in the biomedical aspects of autism. Initially, she began her
career as a board-certified emergency medicine physician, completing
residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and
completing medical school at the University of Southern California in
Los Angeles, CA. She began this new career path in early 2006 when
her then 20 month-old son was diagnosed with autism. Since then she
had the great privilege of training under the mentorship of Sidney
MacDonald Baker, MD, a co-founder of the Defeat Autism Now!
organization.
Dr. Libutti has recently opened the Spectrum Healing Center in West
Hampton, New York to apply her knowledge of the triggers of autism and
the "broken biochemistry" that our children suffer with the intent of
restoring this biochemistry to an optimum state of health. In doing so,
many children can improve greatly, and some will go on to recover
completely and lose their diagnosis. As she sees her own child
recovering from autism, she hopes to help families restore health in
their children and improve their quality of life.
